In Amy Tan’s essay there some parts that resonate with me is when she says “I am not a scholar of English or literature. l cannot give you much more than personal opinions on the English language and its variations in this country or others” this resonates with me because I relate to it, I’m not the best in English or literature I’ve struggle with writing and reading growing up. My teacher’s and parents noticed my struggle with English. So they got me into speech classes to help with it. I had speech classes from elementary till 10th Grade. Throughout my years I would say my middle school speech teacher was my favorite, I say this because I had the best relationship with them and they helped me the most with my reading and writing. I would say my reading and writing has improved throughout the years but I still have a lot to improve and work on as a writer.
